Several pieces of a Boeing 777-200 airplane operated by United Airlines fell this Saturday in the vicinity of Denver, the capital of Colorado (USA), after an emergency landing due to a failure in one of its engines. Parts of this engine collapsed over part of a neighborhood in the city, as reported by local authorities.

ort on Saturday for Honolulu (Hawaii), but a few minutes after taking off the right engine began to catch fire. For this reason, he returned to the city’s international airport to land safely, after experiencing a failure in his right engine shortly after taking off, the statement issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.
All passengers are safe after the incident
The aircraft corresponding to flight number 328 landed safely and no passengers were injured, authorities reported. According to the airline, a total of 231 passengers and 10 crew members were traveling on the plane and all of them have been relocated on another flight to Hawaii.
The passengers experienced moments of tension and anguish until they landed. “The plane began to shake violently, we lost altitude and began to descend,” said one of them, David Delucia, who was sitting next to the aisle just on the side where the engine failed.
The Broomfield Police Department posted photos on Twitter of the pieces dislodged after the spectacular incident that fell on a home about 25 miles north of Denver.
