The journalist specialized in gastronomic travel and tourism Javier Domínguez has made a tour of the ‘Rice Route’ these days, in an itinerary to disseminate culinary recipes based on this representative gastronomic product of the Guadalquivir-Doñana region.
This reverse promotion action or familiarization trip has been organized by the Provincial Council, through Prodetur, in collaboration with the public company Turismo Andaluz, informs the provincial body in a statement.
The importance of rice in the province, a leading producer in Spain, has given rise to the fact that the consumption of the product throughout the territory is very widespread and that many municipalities have specialized in one or another rice variety, giving rise to multiple and diverse recipes included in the guide ‘Ruta del Arroz’, edited by Prodetur, and which takes a tour of the lands of this crop and the traditional gastronomy that it generates.
During this press trip, the journalist has visited several municipalities included in this aforementioned route, such as Aznalcázar, Isla Mayor, La Puebla del Río, Utrera, LosPalacios and Villafranca and Lebrija, where he has tasted the rice recipes of their restaurant establishments.
In all these municipalities, the freelance journalist has been received by municipal officials, who have accompanied him on his tour of the places of tourist and gastronomic interest in the area.
