Seven Hispanics, many of them members of the same Mexican family, were arrested on charges of running a sex trafficking ring – in which the mother of some of them participated from Mexico – in at least six businesses in Southern California, reported the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Carlos Paredes, a Mexican immigrant, and his mother, María Del Refugio García -who is 65 years old and resides in Mexico- are being wanted by the police in California in an operation that aims to dismantle a large sex trafficking network that used undocumented migrants. some of her with refugee requests.
Seven Hispanics, many of them members of the same Mexican family, were arrested on charges of running a sex trafficking ring in at least six businesses in Southern California, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The authorities’ investigation began earlier this year after authorities received information about the alleged sex and labor trafficking that was taking place in various massage parlors and other skin care businesses in counties such as Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside.
According to the authorities, the businesses allegedly owned and operated by the Paredes family, who brought women mainly from Mexico with the promise of working in those places.
