Puebla, the city, surrounded by Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl, is located less than two hours from Mexico City, ideal for a weekend. The city offers great tours within the Historic Center, one of them through the Old Quarters through a panoramic tram where you can admire the first large houses.

It begins with the bazaar of the Barrio de los Sapos, where you can buy works of art or antiques; From there we go to the Barrio de Analco, an old area inhabited by Tlaxcalans, which today have become a flea market selling handicrafts. Then we went to the Barrio Alto, to enjoy the Garibaldi market, which, as in Mexico City, we ran into the mariachis, trios and northern groups. Later we arrive at the Xanenetla neighborhood, which gives us the foot to reach the forts to the Lake of Concordia, there you can see the whole city. The tour concludes in the Historic Center to visit the Main Theater, the Artist’s Quarter, the Parían handicraft market, the street of sweets, the Santa Clara convent and the Serdán Brothers Museum. The tunnels of the Historic Center For more than 200 years, they were hidden.

In 2014, some remodeling works to change the drainage and the asphalt, exposed them, without registering any type of damage, in fact, for the experts “they are almost perfect”.
The chronicler of Cholula, Alfredo Torres Cuautle, explains for more than four centuries, from generation to generation, they spoke of the tunnels.
“In fact, General Ignacio Zaragoza managed to win the battle against the French thanks to those tunnels.
For the Europeans it was a despair that when using their spyglasses they did not see anyone on the hill, however, when they advanced, our compatriots appeared ”.
Where to stay El Sueño, a hotel and spa, is one of the options to stay in the city of Los Angeles.
It is located in the Historic Center in one of the eighteenth century mansions that was remodeled to adapt it to the 20 suites, but which retains its baroque characteristics of the time. “The old legend says that Saint Michael rested on this property when he laid out the city and for his benefit he left unforgettable dreams and good luck for those who sleep in the house.”
Its rooms have a large bathroom or tub. You will be able to occupy El Sueño de Viridiana; Leonora’s Dream (Carrington); The Dream of Dolores del Río or Miroslava.
